The goal of this day hike is the beautiful castle on the opposite side of Mala Fatra, in Rajc. The manor house, which belongs among national cultural monuments, was built in 1916 in the Art Nouveau style. In the past it is said to have served as an occasional count’s residence. During World War II it housed the partisan headquarters. In 1944 it was burnt down by German soldiers. The manor house was repaired in the post-war years and later served as a medical institution. The monument began to be renovated in 2019. At a leisurely pace, you should be able to complete the entire route along the blue trail in about 8 hours.
